This wasn't much of a project, it was more of a competition/assignment we were given to be creative and have fun with. There was this program downloaded to our computers in our classroom where we could design our own bridge and test it to see if a truck would be able to go across it. The object of this assignment was to create a bridge for the least amount of money and the truck still was able to cross the bridge. The person who spent the least amount of money got 100% on the project, everyone else got an 22/25 (88%).
The picture below is the bridge I made, and it cost $307,273.42. I had the least expense bridge for most of the class period that we did this project, but then in the last ten minutes of class someone else got theirs lower than mine.
My major take-a-ways from this project were don't get too proud of yourself before time is up because someone will most likely catch up to you and/or surpass you. Also this was a nice project to spend a day of class doing, it really brings the creativity out of you and was just a fun project to complete.
